Thank you for your interest in fully understanding our business policies and how to rent from us.  This page shows quite a few of the most common questions we receive.   If you don't see your question listed, or if you would prefer to chat with us over the phone, please don't hesitate to call,  we're here to help!
How does renting from CTE work?
You select the items you need and provide us the dates.  We will confirm that everything is available for your dates and send you a contract with your rental quote.  You will have 20 days to review, sign and return the contract with a 50% deposit to secure our services and equipment for your date at the price quoted.  Once you do that, everything is booked!  You will have up until 10 days prior to the date of your event to make any final changes to your exact quantities and pay the final balance.  On the day of your event, you either pick-up your rentals or we will deliver them for you.  When your event is over, you either return the rentals or we will come and pick them up.  We'll take care of the cleaning for you, it's that simple!
Should I reserve rental items in advance?
We recommend reserving items as soon as you know you'll need them, even on that same day.  Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee our services or equipment will be available for your event and a reservation allows us time to make sure that the items are serviced and ready for your use.
Will a two-day rental cost me twice as much as one?
Our prices online are one day rental charges.  One day for us is:  Deliver on Friday, Event on Saturday, Pick-up on Monday.  If you have a need for items longer than one day please contact us for a quote.  The rental fee for additional days is most commonly 25% to 50% of the first day's fee.
May I modify or cancel a reservation with no penalty?
We understand there may be circumstances beyond your control and a reservation may have to be cancelled.  Although we do our best to address each situation individually we have certain terms in which we must remain constant due to the nature of our business and the difficulty to re-rent in such short notice.  Cancellations within ten (10) days prior to the contracted date of delivery or pick-up will forfeit ALL money paid.  Cancellations 11-30 days prior to the contracted date of delivery or pick-up will forfeit 50% of money paid, EXCEPT in cases with tents and tent accessories in which 100% of money paid will be forfeited.  Cancellations 31-180 days prior to the contracted date of delivery or pick-up will not forfeit any money paid and 100% of your deposit will be refunded, EXCEPT in cases with tents and tent accessories in which case 100% of money paid will be forfeited.  Cancellations more than 180 days prior to the event date will not forfeit any money paid and 100% of the deposit will be refunded.   
Will you match or beat an identical quote?
Our typical service area includes Summit County, Eagle County, Park County, Grand County, Lake County, Clear Creek County, Pitkin County and Chaffee County, however, we have the fleet of vehicles to go anywhere in Colorado.

While we pride ourselves on having the most up-to-date and broadest selection of merchandise in the Colorado Mountains, we recognize that competitors will occasionally undercut our pricing.  If you forward your sales manager a copy of a written quote for identical merchandise elsewhere, we will either beat it or make it worth your while, or congratulate you on the amazing deal you have found.  While a single item or two may be less expensive elsewhere, we are the only company in the area that can act as a true one-stop shop for everything you need to rent, and can be on site in a much more reasonable amount of time for any emergencies giving you that ultimate peace of mind!
Can you donate to my non-profit or my event?
Colorado Tents and Events is proud of the volume of rental donations we provide each year to local non-profits impacting our community.  We have launched our "Colors for Causes" program to help streamline our contributions and support these non-profits in a more meaningful manner.  You may submit an application on behalf of your organization each spring to be considered for a one year term.  Learn more about Colors for Causes.

What payment options do I have?
We accept major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card, cash and checks.  Full payment must be received at least 10 days prior to the date of your event to ensure use of equipment unless other arrangements have been made.  A deposit will be required to secure our services and equipment for you for the date of your event, this is typically 50% of the estimated total.
Who is responsible for damaged or missing items?
The customer is responsible for all equipment from the time of delivery or pick-up until it has been return to Colorado Tents and Events.  The customer is also responsible for damaged or missing items and verifying an accurate count of rental items received and returned.
Will you set-up my rental items for me?
Yes, we will set-up tables and chairs.  There is an additional labor charge for setting these items up and arrangements must be made for this service at least 10 days prior to the date of your event.  Set-up does not include linens and table settings.  Set-up for dance floors, frame tents, arbors and stages is included at no additional charge.
What are hours of delivery?
Normal Summer Delivery hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday and 8am-2pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday's. 

Normal Winter Delivery hours are 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday, 9am-1pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday's.

Delivery and pick-up service is available outside these normal hours for an additional fee.  Ask your sales manager for more information.
Can I save money by picking up and setting everything up myself?
Absolutely!  We do not include the cost of set-up or tear-down in our published prices, they are for rental of the items only.  If you would like us to set-up your items for you, please let your sales manager know so they can provide you with a quote for that service.  The exceptions are with our tents of which should only be installed by our professional staff, set-up has been included with the price of each.  We do have our pop-up tents and canopy tents which you would be able to set-up on your own with provided instructions.
