Krista & Justin’s Love Sets Sail(cloth) in Edwards, Colorado

For this month’s wedding highlight, we are taking a look back at Krista and Justin’s beautiful tented wedding at Bearcat Stables in Edwards, Colorado. 

The clients placed their vision in the hands of Marguerite McEvoy Shipman, owner and founder of Events by Marguerite, a local wedding and event planning company. Together they created a unique, nature-inspired, (moss)t see style that proved to be a highlight of our 2019 peak season!

Bearcat Stables is a revered horseback riding facility that moonlights as a serene Vail wedding venue with a country twist. Its spacious property is located on historic homestead land in the scenic Cordillera Valley and alongside Squaw Creek. 

The couple and their nearest and dearest gathered for a later afternoon ceremony. Despite the gorgeous valley views, it was Krista and Justin’s fur babies who stole the show!

For the reception, the couple opted for one of our sailcloth tents. A site to behold, sailcloth tents are certainly one of our favorite styles and it’s not hard to see why! Unlike many other tent styles, sailcloth tents can be recognized by their signature rounded shape, high peaks, sheer sailcloth tops, wraparound clear sidewalls, and tasteful natural wood poles. 

When envisioning wedding decor, tartan and moss may not be the first elements that come to mind, but in this case the two combined, paired with our custom farm tables, wooden x-back chairs, and festival light package created a picture perfect, understated, elegance.
